Hardcore mode eliminates safe zones team systems the map and compass. Forcing players to navigate without these aids. Players can no longer crawl while wounded and global chat is disabled limiting communication to local chat within a 100-meter radius.
This mode is designed to be more punishing with changes such as increased crafting costs for ammunition and the inability to craft or research firearms. Players must rely on looted weapons which can be repaired without prior research.
Fog of War System: Players start with a completely obscured map and can only uncover areas by exploring adding a layer of disorientation and risk to navigation.
